AAU, Ekpoma Matriculates 7,923 Students, VC Urges Integrity and Excellence

The Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State welcomed a total of 7,923 new students for the upcoming academic year.

In an impactful ceremony led by the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sonnie Adagbonyin, the fresh cohort was urged to uphold integrity, discipline, and excellence throughout their academic journey.

During the 39th matriculation ceremony, Prof. Adagbonyin emphasized the importance of focusing on studies and adhering to the university’s guidelines.

“Every student ought to be disciplined, focused, and compliant with the policies and procedures of the university. You must avoid immoral behavior and unworthy character as your degree will be granted based on good character and education.”, the vice chancellor advised.

He reassured the students of a supportive learning environment and heightened security measures to safeguard their well-being.

Reflecting on the challenges faced during the previous academic year, the Vice Chancellor acknowledged the disruption caused by strike actions but commended the successful conclusion and subsequent commencement of the new session. He lauded the students for securing admission and encouraged them to strive for academic excellence and moral uprightness.

The ceremony culminated with the administration of the matriculation oath by the Acting Registrar, Mr. Ambrose Odiase, formally inducting the new students into the prestigious Ambrose Alli University family. The Vice Chancellor’s call for unwavering commitment to ethical conduct and dedication to learning set the tone for a promising academic year ahead.
