Akoko-Edo Chairman Brings Relief to Flood Victims

The Chairman of Akoko-Edo Local Government area, Hon. Tajudeen Alade Suleman Esq, has kickstarted the distribution of relief materials to those affected by the recent floods in the area.

The relief materials, comprising of essential food items and household equipment, are intended to address the immediate needs of the victims.

Hon. Tajudeen expressed optimism that these resources would serve their intended purpose and provide some comfort during this challenging time.

The intervention was initiated in collaboration with the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and the Local Government Area, demonstrating a coordinated effort to provide assistance to those most affected by the floods.

The chairman also announced that additional distributions would take place to ensure that all affected individuals are included in the relief efforts.

Emphasizing the vulnerability of the poorest members of society, Tajudeen highlighted that the distribution primarily targets the most disadvantaged individuals without adequate support networks.

In a proactive approach, the Chairman further urged people to plan ahead for the forthcoming rainy season by adopting preventive measures to mitigate the risks associated with heavy rainfall, thereby safeguarding lives and properties.
