Akoko-Edo Local Government Chairman Vows to Tackle Kidnapping Menace

In a resolute stance against the rising wave of kidnapping and other social vices infiltrating Akoko-Edo local government area, Hon Tajudeen Alade Suleman Esq, the Executive Chairman, has announced intensified measures to combat these challenges head-on.

The chairman’s announcement came in response to a distress call from Ososo, where two operatives of the Edo State Security Network (ESSN) were tragically shot by kidnappers while on duty at a farm near Ososo, leading to the unfortunate demise of one and leaving the other injured and currently receiving treatment at the Poly clinic in Ososo.

Hon Tajudeen wasted no time, issuing a directive to the Ososo Divisional Police Officer (DPO) to unravel the mystery behind this heinous act.

He urged the traditional rulers of Ojah and Ekpe to forge a synergistic alliance with the security agencies, emphasizing the collective effort required to triumph over these criminal elements.

During his visit to Ojah, the chairman extended condolences to the grieving family of the deceased and provided considerable financial support to aid them during these trying times.

Additionally, he visited the Poly clinic to personally express solidarity with the injured operative, contributing a generous sum to alleviate the burden faced by his family.

Undeterred in his mission, Hon Tajudeen proceeded to Makeke, Ekpe, and Ekpedo, urging traditional rulers to work hand in hand with security forces to scrutinize individuals entering their communities, effectively thwarting criminal elements.

He reassured the public that comprehensive strategies had been deployed to curb this menace, highlighting significant improvements in the local government’s security situation under his leadership as council chairman.
