Akoko Edo Towards Reliable Electricity as Council Chairman Visit TCN

Hon. Tajudeen Alade Suleman, Esq, the Chairman of Akoko Edo Local Government, has paid a visit to the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) in Okene, Kogi State, to engage with the site engineer with the aim of resolving the persistent issue of power outage affecting the locality.

During the visit, the chairman stressed the importance of ensuring sustainability in the power supply system. He vowed to take all necessary steps to swiftly address the issue of recurrent power failures, affirming that he had already identified and addressed both the immediate and underlying factors contributing to the problem.

Emphasizing his vision to transform Akoko Edo into a hub for investments by creating a conducive environment for businesses to thrive, the chairman underscored the critical need for prompt and effective resolution of the power supply challenges.

In response, Engineer Yusuf Yohanna and Engineer Mustapher, the Assistant Site Engineer and Supervisor, respectively, representing Station Head Engineer Isaac Idibanji, reassured the chairman of consistent power supply. They attributed the recent temporary outages to issues within the national grid, noting its susceptibility to frequent collapses and systemic failures.
