In response to credible intelligence reports, the Edo State Police Command has issued a stern warning to cultists and other individuals intending to disrupt the peace in and around the Ekosodin Community of Benin City. The police have made it clear that anyone found causing trouble will face severe legal consequences.
Parents and guardians have also been urged to counsel their children and dependents against engaging in activities that could lead to legal repercussions.
This warning was communicated to the public by the Public Relations Officer for the Edo State Police Command, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, via an official statement on the command’s WhatsApp page on December 4, 2022.
“The Commissioner Of Police, Edo State Police Command, CP Mohammed A. Dankwara, FBDFM, FCIMN, has cautioned that the Command will not hesitate to take firm action against any individual or group threatening the state’s peace, safety, and security.

“In the meantime, the CP has implored parents and guardians to specifically advise their children and wards to refrain from actions that could put them at odds with law enforcement agencies. The command will not shy away from enforcing the law, regardless of who is involved”, SP Nwabuzor cautioned.
