Edo Assembly Endorses Justice Daniel Okungbowa as Chief Judge

The Edo State House of Assembly confirmed Justice Daniel Iyobosa Okungbowa as the Chief Judge of the State on Wednesday.

The confirmation was a sequel to the consideration of the report of the Joint Committee on Rules, Business, and Government House and Judiciary on the screening of the nominee.

The Majority Leader of the House and Chairman, House Committee on Rules, Business, and Government House, Hon. Charity Iguodala Aiguobareghian, while presenting the report for consideration at the committee of the whole, said that the nominee has the requisite qualifications and experience required for the job.

The lawmakers, in a voice vote, unanimously supported the committee’s recommendation and Okungbowa was confirmed as the chief judge of Edo State.
