During a distribution event at the Agricultural Development Program (ADP) premises, the Program Manager highlighted the project’s goal of enhancing livelihoods, food security, and boosting MSMEs in the region.
The Edo CARES initiative has kickstarted dry season farming and supported hundreds of Small Holder Farmers with essential tools like pumping machines. The government’s commitment to eradicating hunger, poverty, and malnutrition was emphasized, along with efforts to enhance farming productivity through various programs and services.
Noteworthy programs under Edo CARES include initiatives in Agroforestry, Fishery, and Livestock that aim to ramp up production and provide farmers with necessary resources for success. Overwhelming support through equipment allocation and training underscores the government’s dedication to agricultural development and prosperity in the state.
Beneficiaries were handpicked for transparency, receiving equipment free of charge to accelerate their contributions towards a hunger-free state. The State Project Coordinator commended Governor Obaseki’s initiatives to uplift farmers and urged recipients to maximize the equipment for optimal impact.
Grateful farmers praised the state’s backing, expressing gratitude for the timely intervention and the potential prosperity the equipment brings to their operations. This boost is set to enhance yields and empowerment, fostering growth within the poultry farming community.
