Edo Govt Begins Edo North Pensioner Revalidation Exercise

Obaseki pays harmonized pension to Edo retirees

The Edo State Government has commenced a revalidation exercise for local government pensioners in the Edo North Senatorial District.

James Enoma Okungbowa, the Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA) and Secretary of the Local Government Staff Pension Board, provided details about the routine screening, which will take place from September 1st to 8th, 2022, for all local government pensioners across the state.

Okungbowa stated that the revalidation exercise for pensioners in Edo North Senatorial District will be held on Friday, September 2nd. He emphasized the importance of the ongoing “I AM ALIVE” Revalidation Exercise and stressed that it will encompass all Local Government Pensioners in the senatorial districts.

He outlined the schedule of the screenings, stating that the exercise in Edo North Senatorial District will be conducted from September 1st to 2nd, 2022, at the Local Government Council halls in Akoko Edo, Owan East, Owan West, Etsako West, Etsako East, and Etsako Central LGAs, starting at 9 am.

Okungbowa further specified that the revalidation exercise will be carried out at the respective secretariats of each Local Government council in the state from 9 am to 4 pm, with the exception of Oredo Local Government Area, which will hold its screening at Imaguero School Hall.

For Edo Central Senatorial District, including Uhunmwonde LGA, the revalidation exercise is scheduled to be held from September 5th to 6th, 2022, at the Local Government Council halls in Esan South East, Esan North East, Esan Central, Esan West, Igueben, and Uhunmwonde LGAs, commencing at 9 am.

The exercise will take place in Edo South from September 7th to 8th, 2022, at the local government council halls in Ikpoba-Okha, Egor, Ovia South West, Ovia North East, and Orhionmwon LGAs. However, the exercise in Oredo LGA will be conducted at the Imaguero School Hall, also starting at 9 am.

Okungbowa urged all pensioners to personally attend the designated venues with their pensioner’s Identity Card and a photocopy of the biometric printout slip. Notably, pensioners residing abroad will undergo screening via Skype.
