Edo Govt Partners with NBC to Enhance Broadcasting Services, Content Development

The Edo State Government has announced a strategic partnership with the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) aimed at improving broadcasting services and fostering content development within the state.

This initiative was detailed in a statement released by Mr. Fred Itua, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Sen. Monday Okpebholo, on Wednesday in Benin.

According to Itua, the collaboration will facilitate the establishment of a digital hub in Edo, designed to empower local youths by providing a platform for them to showcase their talents and create monetizable content.

Mr. Charles Ebuebu, the Director-General of NBC, highlighted the organization’s preference for partnering with Edo due to the state’s significant achievements in recent months.

“The digital hub will provide a platform for youths to showcase their talents and create content that could be monetized,” he stated.

Sulaiman Aledeh, Managing Director of Edo Broadcasting Service (EBS), praised Governor Okpebholo for the progress EBS has made in the past few months.

Aledeh expressed optimism about the partnership, suggesting it could yield fruitful results given Edo’s rich cultural heritage and the abundance of local content creators.
