Edo sets to promote tech hubs through strategic partnerships

The Commissioner for Digital Economy, Science, and Technology, Hon. Ogbeide Ifaluyi-Isibor, underscores the Edo State Government’s resolve to bolster tech hubs via strategic alliances and collaborations.

In a meeting convened at the commissioner’s office in Benin City, leaders of tech firms and start-ups gathered to deliberate on the enhancement of tech hubs in Edo State.

The commissioner unveils his commitment to augment, back, and elevate these hubs, acknowledging the crucial role technology assumes in global societal progression. He guarantees that the ministry will allocate its resources to sustain Edo State’s technological progress.

Yuwa Naps, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Digital Economy, Science, and Technology, encourages tech firms and start-ups to embrace a problem-solving approach, leveraging technology to tackle urgent tech issues in the state.

She further proposes the establishment of a digital business marketplace that exhibits and trades locally manufactured goods, stimulating economic expansion for both the state and Nigeria at large.

Abdul-Azeez Ibrahim, the Managing Director of AI Robotics Tech, voices appreciation on behalf of the tech hubs for the beneficial platform offered by the ministry.

He underscores that AI Robotics Tech, founded in 2018, excels in robotic training and prototype creation.

Their mission centers on arming the youth with hands-on tech skills, with a concentration on artificial intelligence and robotics to equip them for a thriving future.
