Edo State College of Health Sciences Prepares for Liftoff

Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has announced that the Edo State College of Health Sciences and Technology (EDOCOHEST) will commence academic activities on September 9, 2024, marking a significant milestone in the state’s efforts to boost healthcare education.
During an inspection tour of the institution’s facilities in Benin City, Obaseki expressed confidence that the college is on track to meet its scheduled reopening date.
“I have been assured that the CBT exams for admission will take place later this month, and I am impressed with the progress made so far,” he stated.
The governor emphasized that his administration is working tirelessly to ensure a smooth takeoff, citing the readiness of critical facilities such as laboratories and hostels for 400 students.
“We are racing against time, but I am satisfied with the preparations made so far,” he added.
Dr. Moyo Kasim, Provost of the College, echoed Obaseki’s sentiments, stating, “We have successfully navigated the accreditation processes, and I am optimistic that we will receive official confirmation by next week. This paves the way for a seamless start to academic activities on September 9, 2024.”
