In a recent act of generosity, the Caridad Ernesto Empowerment Foundation, a non-profit organization, distributed food items to approximately 500 Muslims and gifted cows to traditional leaders in the Edo North Senatorial District of Edo. This was done in observance of the Eid-el-Kabir festivities in the district.
Tijani Mohammed, the event’s organizer, explained that the initiative aimed to alleviate the current economic hardships and to share the joy of the season with the Muslim community. He emphasized that the donation was an extension of the foundation’s commitment to humanitarian service and a way to join in the Muslims’ celebration of the feast.
Mohammed stated, “The initiative coincided with this year’s Eid-El-Kabir celebrations. The foundation, established last year, is dedicated to combating poverty and hunger. Approximately 500 Muslims will benefit from the Caridad Ernesto Foundation’s food distribution, and our Muslim traditional rulers in Edo North will receive cows.”
The foundation’s president, who wished to remain anonymous, encouraged the beneficiaries to keep praying for the donor, enabling him to assist more people in need. Mohammed urged other Nigerians to follow the example set by the Caridad Ernesto foundation’s founder.
Upon receiving the food items, one of the beneficiaries, Musa Ajakaiye, expressed his gratitude to the foundation. He said, “The foundation has been providing foodstuffs and supporting the less fortunate. We are truly grateful to the Caridad Ernesto Foundation for their timely assistance, especially when some of us had nothing to celebrate the Sallah. We must give thanks to Allah for endowing Caridad Ernesto with the ability to impact the lives of Muslims. May Allah continue to bless them for their generosity during this season.”
Ajakaiye also called on affluent Muslims to assist the less privileged with such items, enabling others to partake in the celebrations.
Another beneficiary, Hakeem Ukanah, was overjoyed and expressed his gratitude to the foundation. He said, “I am filled with happiness, and I pray that God, in His infinite mercy, will fortify the foundation and bless the owner and his family.”
