Graphic Design for Teens: EdoJobs, EdoInnovates unveil Training during holiday

EdoJobs introduces Graphic Design Skills Training for teenagers during the holiday season to provide them with valuable technology skills and engage them during the holiday season.

The Edo State Skills Development Agency (EdoJobs) management said that the program will capture children aged 13 to 17.

Mrs. Violet Obiokoro, the Managing Director of EdoJobs, highlighted that the technology department of the agency, EdoInnovates, is organizing this graphic design training as an opportunity to involve teenagers during their break. She emphasized that this program not only aims to keep the children engaged but also serves as an early exposure to the rapidly growing world of technology, utilizing the ease and accessibility of their smartphones. Mrs. Obiokoro expressed the importance of teaching children productive and creative ways to utilize their mobile phones beyond merely watching movies and playing games. She urged parents and guardians to seize this opportunity for their kids and wards. She emphasized that the only requirement for children to participate in this training is to possess a smartphone, as the training sessions will be conducted using mobile devices.

She added that the Graphic Design training offers intensive coaching in a safe and engaging environment for the teenagers to explore, learn and practice Graphic Design principles, Branding & Visual identity, and Typography from industry professionals.

Mrs Obiokoro also highlighted that Edo Innovates conducts trainings annually for teenagers to productively engage them during the long holiday. She also added that various high demand technology trainings have been provided for youth in the state since its inception in alignment with the vision of Edo innovates an initiative of the Edo state Government to provide the supply of highly skilled tech talents in the state and that more of these trainings have been mapped out for the remaining months of the year.
