Igbinedion names teaching hospital after Oyakhilome

The Igbinedion University Teaching Hospital has been renamed in honor of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, the founder of LoveWorld Ministries, by Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, the Chancellor of Igbinedion University, Okada.

He claims that Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Teaching Hospital will be the new name of the hospital.

At the institution’s 2021–2022 academic session convocation ceremony, which took place in Okada, close to Benin, Igbinedion revealed the naming.

Oyakhilome was also awarded an honorary Doctor of Science degree by him in recognition of his services to development and humanity.

The chancellor gave LoveWorld Ministries a piece of land in addition to the degree.

Oyakhilome responded by expressing gratitude to the university administration and chancellor for the honor and thoughtful act.

Prof. Lawrence Ezemonye, the university’s vice-chancellor, had earlier stated that the school was commemorating two decades of uninterrupted convocations and twenty-three years of academic achievement.

Since its founding, the university has produced more than 16, 000 graduates and postgraduates, according to Ezemonye.
