Obaseki applauds 10 Edo indigenes for bagging NIMASA scholarship

Ten Edo citizens were honored by Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State for receiving the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) scholarship.

The governor made the commendation at Government House, Benin City, during a courtesy visit by a delegation of beneficiaries led by Engineer Greg Ogbeifun, Chairman of the Benin River Port (BRP).

“There is no doubt that you have invested in yourself through your tests, National Examination Council (NECO), and West Africa Examination Council (WAEC), I have no doubt that each of you will succeed in your academic endeavors. I express my gratitude to NIMASA and the Federal Government for granting each and every one of you this exceptional opportunity.” stated Obaseki

The journey commenced at this point when NIMASA granted scholarships to indigenous people of Edo State. By reason of the fact that Edo State embarked on the Benin River Port project, which gave the state the opportunity to be counted amongst the larger states in the country to benefit from the scholarship award.” he noted.
