As Edo State aims to enhance its reputation as a secure haven for business and safeguard the well-being of its residents, Governor Godwin Obaseki has taken a proactive step by donating 50 motorcycles to the vigilante in Igarra, the administrative headquarters of Akoko-Edo Local Government Area.

Governor Obaseki, represented by Barrister Dickson Ikhane, head of local government administration, emphasized the need for security agencies to intensify efforts in eradicating criminal activities within the region. The gesture aims to enhance the state’s commitment to ensuring safety and promoting a conducive environment for business operations.

The commander of Edo State Security Network (ESSN), Victor Dongo, expressed gratitude on behalf of the network for this significant donation. He assured the governor that his officers and men would rise to the occasion, leveraging the motorcycles’ support in fulfilling their duties. Dongo emphasized the collective responsibility of the community in maintaining security and highlighted the importance of intelligence gathering to combat crime effectively.
