Obaseki Celebrates Eid-el-Maulud with Muslims, Urges Unity and Peace

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has extended his warm felicitations to Muslims in the state and across Nigeria as they join the global Islamic community in commemorating the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) – Eid-el-Maulud.
In his goodwill message, Governor Obaseki highlighted the profound significance of this celebration, urging Nigerians to reflect on the values of tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and unity that underpin the prophet’s teachings.
“As we mark this auspicious occasion, let us draw inspiration from the prophet’s message of peace, love, and harmony. Let us strive to build bridges across our differences, be they religious, ethnic, or political, to create a stronger, more united Nigeria,” Obaseki emphasized.
He also encouraged the Muslim faithful to use the occasion to offer prayers for the nation’s peace and progress.
“Our administration remains committed to promoting policies that celebrate our diversity and foster a culture of inclusivity, ensuring that all residents in Edo State can coexist in peace and harmony,” the governor assured.
