Obaseki Commissions Road, Ethanol Factory, Edo Refinery, Others

Governor Obaseki has commissioned a 3.65-kilometer road in Ologbo, constructed under the State’s innovative tax credit scheme, a first for any sub-national government in Nigeria.

He also inaugurated the Edo Refinery, Green Hill Ethanol Factory, and other projects aimed at boosting economic growth and development in the state.

Accompanied by top officials, Obaseki lauded the tax credit project, highlighting its revolutionary impact on infrastructure financing. He encouraged wealthy taxpayers to utilize their tax credits to fund infrastructure projects, following the State’s Executive Order.

The Governor commended Saro Africa for utilizing the tax credit scheme and invited others to contribute to the state’s infrastructure development. During the inspection of the ethanol factory, he praised the progress made and emphasized the positive impact on youth employment.

Obaseki stressed the importance of domestic production, reducing reliance on imports, and boosting independence. He assured the people of Edo State that his administration remains committed to fulfilling promises made in 2016, providing hope, jobs, and development.

At the commissioning of Edo Refinery and Petrochemical Company Limited, the Governor expressed delight at attracting investments to the state. He highlighted the State Government’s co-investment and plans for expansion, calling for alignment between the state and federal government to support businesses with infrastructure and raw materials.
