Obaseki Hails Edo Queens’ Super Six Triumph

The Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the state’s women’s football team, the Edo Queens, for securing their place in the Super Six tournament. This achievement comes after they finished as runners-up in Group B of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL).

In a public statement, Governor Obaseki expressed his belief that the team will perform exceptionally well in the Super Six championship, raising the state’s flag high on the international stage.

Governor Obaseki declared, “I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to our very own Edo Queens, who placed second in Group B of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) and earned a spot in the Super 6 Championship.”

“We are proud of your accomplishments and admirable work as you consistently represent us well, showcasing your exceptional talent and collaboration and inspiring us with your outstanding performance.”

“I urge you to maintain this impressive momentum as you proceed to the Super Six Championship. We are optimistic about a fantastic showing at the championship, which will present a chance to fly the State’s flag for the first time on the global scene,” he said, offering more encouragement to the team.
