Okowa felicitates with Obaseki on 65th birthday
The Delta State Governor and Vice-Presidential Candidate of the PDP, Sen. (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, has sent his warm wishes to his Edo counterpart, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, on his 65th birthday.
The Governor, through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Olisa Ifeajika, in Asaba, said that Obaseki was worthy of celebration for his reliability and remarkable achievements in Edo.
He praised Obaseki for his creativity and tireless work which he had used to enhance governance in his state.
Okowa said that the Edo governor had shown patriotism and dedication to his state and the country, and prayed to God to give him long life, good health and wisdom as he served his people and Nigeria.
Okowa said, “My dear brother, you have been a faithful leader to your people of Edo since you became their Governor. You have pursued the development of the state through policies in infrastructure and human-capacity development.
“As a politician, you have been a strong voice on national and current issues affecting our great country, and Edo people can confirm your courage, commitment and loyalty in building the state, and also nation-building.
“On behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta, I warmly celebrate with my brother governor, an excellent professional, respected politician and experienced administrator, Mr. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, on his 65th birthday.
“It is my prayer that God will keep you healthy and wise to lead your people to more prosperous days,” Okowa stated.
