The Coordinator of the Office of the Edo Governor’s Wife, Mrs. Edesili Okpebholo-Anani, praised the Aiguobasinmwin Movement for its commitment to preserving the rich cultural heritage of Edo State during a visit from the group to the Government House in Benin on Thursday.
Mrs. Okpebholo-Anani lauded the organization’s efforts to engage young people in cultural activities. “It is commendable that young people have taken an interest in their culture,” she stated, reinforcing the importance of cultural awareness among the youth.
Highlighting the administration’s approach to governance, she affirmed the Gov. Monday Okpebholo-led administration’s dedication to a “servant leadership style” focused on addressing state issues.
Mrs. Okpebholo-Anani also pledged her support for the association’s initiatives aimed at promoting culture and empowering individuals, noting that a productive society is essential for reducing social ills.
In response, Mr. Iyamu Osaro Culture, the Leader of the Aiguobasinmwin Movement, expressed gratitude for Mrs. Okpebholo-Anani’s approachable nature and her willingness to engage with various groups.
He emphasized the association’s desire to collaborate with the Office of the Governor’s Wife to support their upcoming two-month entrepreneurship workshop dedicated to honoring the Benin Kingdom.
