Okpebholo Inaugurates New Waste Management Equipment to Enhance Edo’s Cleanliness

On Monday, Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State officially inaugurated a new set of waste management equipment for the State Waste Management Agency, aiming to enhance its operations and promote a cleaner environment.

This initiative forms part of the state’s broader commitment to sustainability and effective waste management.

The event, which was held in the presence of various dignitaries including Deputy Governor Dennis Idahosa and Secretary to the State Government Musa Ikhilor, underscored the governor’s belief in the power of collaboration among government agencies to tackle environmental issues.

During his address, Governor Okpebholo highlighted the economic advantages of maintaining a clean environment, stating that it is vital to attract investments.

He reiterated the notion that “cleanliness is next to godliness,” emphasizing the moral obligation to prioritize environmental integrity.

The governor also called upon the workers of the agency to take responsibility for the new equipment, which includes pay loaders, compactors, and tippers.
