In the spirit of Eid-Kabir, Senator Adams Oshiomhole (APC-Edo-North) has extended a gesture of goodwill to his constituents, distributing 8,500 bags of rice and an undisclosed amount of cash across the six local government areas of Edo-North Senatorial District.
The distribution, aimed at enabling the people to celebrate the festive period with ease, was carried out on Thursday.
According to Oshiomhole, represented by his Legislative Aide, Adams Mumin, “The distribution of rice and cash is part of Oshiomhole’s goodwill to celebrate with Muslims and other people in his constituents.”
Victor Oshioke, Chief of Staff to Oshiomhole, described the gesture as a humanitarian service, highlighting the senator’s commitment to his constituents’ development.
“Sen. Oshiomhole has always been there for his people by providing assistance and financial aid to the people of the district,” Oshioke said, urging Muslims and Nigerians to promote peace and love during the celebration.
The beneficiaries, including Mr. Philip Itsede and Mr. Ahmed Dauda, expressed gratitude to Oshiomhole for the timely intervention, which they said would help cushion the effect of the celebration.
