This acknowledgment came during a recent courtesy visit to Mr. Bello Nura, Executive Director of Finance at NNPC E&P Ltd., held at the company’s corporate headquarters in Benin.

“The Edo Government is intent on transforming the state through Governor Monday Okpebholo’s five-point agenda, which focuses on security, health, infrastructure, education, and agriculture,” Bankole-Balogun stated. “The successful realization of this agenda is contingent upon the tax contributions from residents, employees, and businesses.”

Furthermore, he urged NNPC E&P Ltd. to maintain full compliance with tax obligations, particularly regarding any outstanding liabilities.

In response, Mr. Nura reassured the EIRS chairman that NNPC E&P is diligent in meeting its tax responsibilities. “We have been paying taxes. We will not owe the Edo Government in terms of tax commitments. Additionally, as a responsible corporate entity, we are committed to our corporate social responsibilities (CSR) to support government initiatives, recognizing that the government cannot operate in isolation,” Nura remarked.
