Award-winning Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido has released his latest single, “Be There Still,” igniting further excitement amongst fans awaiting the arrival of his fifth studio album, “5IVE.”
The track, a vibrant fusion of Afrobeat rhythms and contemporary sounds, dropped on Friday and is already making waves across the music scene.
Davido himself announced the release with a simple yet effective message on his X (formerly Twitter) account, @davido, posting “Midnight we feast” shortly before the song became available.
“Be There Still” boasts a stellar production team comprised of Marvey Muzique, DJ Maphorisa, and Black Culture, who served as producers. The track’s expert mixing was handled by D-RO, ensuring a polished and captivating sound.
The highly anticipated album “5IVE” is scheduled to be released on April 18th, fueling a frenzy of anticipation among Davido’s dedicated fanbase.
Prior to “Be There Still,” Davido had already whetted appetites with the release of two preceding singles from “5IVE”: “Funds,” featuring the dynamic duo of Odumodublvck and Chike, and “Awuke,” a collaboration with YG Marley. “Funds” proved to be a particularly scintillating offering, with Odumodublvck’s raw verses perfectly complementing Chike’s smooth vocal melodies, all anchored by Davido’s characteristic energy.
