Edo NSCDC Secures Easter Celebration with 1,350 Personnel Deployment

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Edo Command, has announced the deployment of 1,350 personnel across the state to ensure a safe and peaceful Easter celebration for residents. The announcement was made by the state commandant, Mr. Gbenga Agun, at a press conference held in Benin City on Thursday.

The extensive deployment is strategically designed to provide heightened security at key locations, including places of worship, recreational facilities, and vital infrastructure, throughout the Easter period.

“The deployment is aimed at providing maximum security at places of worship, recreational centres and other critical infrastructure during the festive period,” stated Mr. Agun.

Beyond the visible presence of personnel, the NSCDC has also bolstered its intelligence gathering capabilities across Edo State. This enhanced network aims to proactively identify and neutralize any potential security threats before, during, and after the Easter festivities.
