The Edo State Government has reiterated its dedication to fostering strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to optimize service delivery within the lands and housing sector.
This commitment was underscored during a meeting between the Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Mr. Yakubu Musa, and members of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) in Benin City on Thursday.
Commissioner Musa emphasized that synergy and collaboration are crucial for driving sustainable development throughout the state. He stated that the ministry is actively working to regulate the real estate industry, ensuring that Edo citizens receive optimal value and satisfaction from the lands and housing sector.
Mr. Roger Isiokhere, Chairman of NIESV, affirmed the institution’s willingness to collaborate closely with the ministry, offering professional advisory services and other support to facilitate the achievement of its mandate. Dr. Joy Akhigbe, the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, also highlighted the significance of collaborative efforts.
The meeting was attended by the Surveyor-General of the State, along with directors and other management staff from the Ministry of Lands and Housing.
