According to a circular released by the Ministry of Education, the move to reopen schools was made after extensive consultations with various security agencies and key stakeholders. Mrs. Enodolomwanyi Otamere, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, confirmed that additional safety mechanisms have been strategically deployed in both the affected communities and the schools themselves.
These deployments aim to create a secure environment conducive to learning. Satisfied with the robust security arrangements, the government has directed all affected public and private schools to resume normal operations starting Monday, June 15, 2026.

They are also encouraged to maintain ongoing collaboration with security agencies, local community leaders, and government officials to uphold a consistently secure and favourable learning atmosphere.
