The Nigerian University Games Association has announced that the 2023 NUGA trials for athletes to the World University Games will be held in Edo State, in partnership with the University of Benin. The trials are set to take place in Benin City, the capital of Edo State, from May 8 to May 14. According to a statement from NUGA’s Acting Secretary General, Chidiebere Ezeani, the trials will take place at Benin City’s Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium and include seven sports: badminton, judo, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, and tennis.
