The Edo State Government, through the Edo State Oil Palm Programme (ESOPP), invites applicants for its innovative manpower development scheme. Geared toward nurturing a skilled workforce in the expansive oil plantation sector, this collaboration involves ESOPP, oil palm producers, and the Edo State College of Agriculture and Natural Sciences.
The scheme aims to train passionate individuals in sustainable agriculture, equipping them to become experts in this vital field. As part of the Manpower Development Scheme, comprehensive training, hands-on experience, and job placement opportunities await aspiring Junior Plantation Operatives.
Acting Team Lead for ESOPP, Churchill Oboh, stated in a statement that the program is a partnership between ESOPP, oil palm growers, and the Edo State College of Agriculture and Natural Sciences.
“People can participate in the Manpower Development Scheme through the Edo State Oil Palm Programme (ESOPP), which is run by Oil Palm Producers and the Edo State College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
“We are providing in-depth instruction, practical training, and job placement for the position of Junior Plantation Operator.
Qualifications:
- Minimum senior secondary certificate with at least four credits, including English language and mathematics.
- Experience in oil palm plantations is advantageous.
- Candidates should be physically fit and aged below 35.
