Auchi Kingdom has been lauded as one of Edo State’s most peaceful and progressive communities by Governor Monday Okpebholo. The Governor’s sentiment was expressed at the 29th edition of the Auchi Day Celebration, held in Auchi.
Represented by the Commissioner for Labour and Productivity, Godwin Eshieshe, Governor Okpebholo congratulated the Otaru of Auchi, Aliru Momoh, on his 30th year on the throne and his 92nd birthday.
He commended the Otaru for fostering a stable administrative environment that has ensured peace and unity within the community. The Governor contrasted Auchi with other communities facing unrest, emphasizing the Otaru’s role in maintaining cohesion.
Senator Adams Oshiomhole also expressed his gratitude to the Otaru for his support throughout his political career, acknowledging the Otaru’s exemplary leadership.
The Otaru, in turn, thanked the Governor, traditional rulers, and the people of Auchi for their support, and prayed for continued peace and prosperity in the kingdom and Nigeria.
