Edo Govt assures Residents of Maximum Security during Yuletide

Residents of Edo State have been reassured by Hon. Omololu Ojehonmon, the state commissioner for public safety and security, that the state government is prepared to provide the highest level of security during the Yuletide, and they are being asked to cooperate with the Ministry and security agencies by exchanging information.

Ojehonmon asserts that the success story in security and public safety thus far has been attained by the people’s cooperation with the various security structures established in the State, particularly at the local level.

In an interview with media in Benin City, the Commissioner reaffirmed the State Government’s dedication to guaranteeing the security of people and assets throughout the three senatorial districts.

“Stability, peace, and long-term economic growth depend on security, and the administration of Governor Godwin Obaseki has demonstrated an extraordinary and sincere dedication to fighting crime in the State. The Commissioner stated, “This is an attempt to make Edo State the most tranquil and investment-friendly State in the Nation.”

She guaranteed that there would be improvements in community engagements, the structure of community security networks within the States, and the joint taskforce on security, declaring that the Ministry is ready and equipped to monitor and act as a liaison among security agencies and pertinent government institutions at both the Federal and State levels.

Hon. Ojehonmon recommended that all complaints and crimes be reported via the Ministry’s round-the-clock hotline, which is designed to provide prompt assistance for reports of suspicious activity or security threats.

She reassured the public that their calls would remain anonymous and that all calls would be handled promptly by the relevant security personnel.
