Eid-el-Kabir: Obaseki felicitates with Muslims, urges love, sacrifice

Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has congratulated Muslims on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.

The governor urged the Muslim faithful to internalize the sacrifice lesson that Eid-el-Kabir represents.

In his remarks, he expressed his congratulations to his Muslim counterparts on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir. “As we commemorate this auspicious occasion with our Muslim community, I implore everyone to internalize the lesson of sacrifice that it represents. Beyond our individual beliefs, each of us has a larger and deeper duty to God and the human race.

“Eid-el-Kabir reinforces the virtues of patience, tolerance, and love and gives us another opportunity to rededicate ourselves to our beneficent Creator.” Obaseki noted.

He went on, saying, “These times demand that we are united and join hands across ethno-religious inclinations to work for our collective progress in our struggle to build a better nation.”

“We are working closely with our security personnel to make sure our Muslim faithful have a peaceful celebration, as we all pray for a safer and more prosperous Nigeria,” he gave his assurance.
