Hundreds of PDP members dump party for APC, declare support for Emilo

As the battle of who represents Akoko Edo Constituency II is on top gear, members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ososo ward 10, Akoko Edo Local Government of Edo State have dumped the party for All Progressives (APC) and declared their support for Hon Emmanuel Omoladun Agbaje popularly known as Emilio who is the candidate of the APC in the forthcoming Edo State House of Assembly election. He is the incumbent and minority leader.

Receiving the members, the Local Government Area party Chairman, Mr. Ojo Maliki disclosed, “I am very happy for this timely decision that is going to be in your favor and the entire ward and constituency at large. Be rest assured that there is no discrimination in APC, unlike PDP where you hear of old and new members. We are one family and will be treated as such”.

While also commending the great move, Emmanuel Agbaje said ” my hands are wide open as usual. You all know I don’t discriminate. It has been an unpleasant moment in this present dispensation. I have been able to embark on some projects in the ward and constituency at large. Some of these projects have been funded from my resources and little funds that were made available. But I can assure you all that by God’s grace the incoming dispensation will not be as business as usual as our hands we been hooked especially as a minority.

The decampees assured the leaders of mobilizing for the party and ensuring that Emmanuel Agbaje is returned to continue his good work.

The ceremony had in attendance former Local Government Chairman, Hon. Folly Akerejola, LGA, Ward Executives, and other party leaders.
