Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has expressed concerns over the distribution formula for the Federal Government’s conditional cash transfer program and other social amenities. He made this statement during a courtesy visit from the Federal Character Commission’s Executive Chairman, Dr. Muheeba Dankaka, at the Government House in Benin City.

Obaseki emphasized the need for fair distribution of social services, stating, “The Commission should focus on ensuring equitable distribution of resources, especially during economic downturns.” He urged the commission to learn from past mistakes, citing conditional cash transfer sharing as an example, and ensure that such incidents are not repeated.
The governor highlighted the importance of addressing lingering issues troubling Nigerians, noting that the visit was timely. He commended the commission for its efforts in promoting national unity and ensuring equitable distribution of positions.
