Honorable Donald Okogbe, the lawmaker representing Akoko-Edo II, has expressed gratitude to his constituents and supporters following his reinstatement by the Edo State House of Assembly after a five-month suspension.
In a published statement, Okogbe thanked everyone who stood by him during the challenging period, particularly his constituency, for their unwavering love and solidarity. He reaffirmed his commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy promised to his people.
“We go again, and this time, we go better and bigger,” Okogbe declared. “Together with God, we can!” He also offered blessings to Akoko-Edo Constituency II, Akoko-Edo, and Edo State.
Okogbe’s suspension was previously described as “politically motivated” . However, with his reinstatement, he is now focused on fulfilling his campaign promises.
The reinstatement of Okogbe and another suspended lawmaker, Adeh Isibor, brings an end to the five-month suspension imposed by the Edo State House of Assembly.
