Wike to Inaugurate 54 Units of Construction Equipment to Boost Edo’s Infrastructure

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, is set to inaugurate 54 units of construction equipment on Thursday.

This initiative aims to bolster infrastructural development across the 18 local government areas of Edo State.

Dr Patrick Ebojele, Chief Press Secretary to Gov. Monday Okpebholo, conveyed this information in a press release issued on Monday. The state government’s acquisition of this equipment underscores its commitment to practical governance, infrastructure renewal, and the strengthening of local government structures.

The equipment, including graders, excavators, and rollers, will significantly enhance road construction, rural access projects, and drainage rehabilitation. By providing these tools to local councils, the government intends to expedite development at the grassroots level and reduce bureaucratic processes.

This strategic intervention aims to empower council leadership, stimulate economic activity in rural communities, and deliver tangible benefits to Edo’s three senatorial districts. The inauguration ceremony will host top government officials, political figures, traditional rulers, and community leaders.
