Edo Deputy Gov Receives Invitation to FIFA Award Gala

The Edo State Deputy Governor, Phillip Shaibu, has received an invitation from the International Federation of Association Football to the annual celebration of football’s greatest stars, the Best FIFA Football Awards.

Shuaibu, a sports enthusiast, received the invitation and recognition on a global scale as a result of his efforts to advance sports in Edo State.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for February 27 at Salle Pleyel in Paris.

Shaibu received an invitation letter from FIFA Guest Operations that said, “Dear Mr. Shaibu,

“We are delighted to extend an invitation to you to attend the Best FIFA Football AwardsTM, an annual celebration of football’s biggest stars, which will be held on July 27, 2023, at Salle Pleyel in Paris.

“We are honoring the top players, coaches, and supporters who have captivated us with their incredible talents and dramatic moments throughout the previous season on this special occasion.

The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM, which left us with a ton of unforgettable memories and demonstrated that football is a truly global sport, will make this year’s ceremony extra special.

“This show, which will crown the best of yet another incredible season, will draw the biggest names in football. We are excited to have you join us in Paris for The Best FIFA Football Awards in 2022.”
