Edo Government Begins Massive Reaccreditation Exercise for Vigilante

The Edo State Government has commenced the reaccreditation process for over 6500 personnel of the State’s esteemed Security Vigilante Network (ESSVN). This extensive profiling and training exercise will take place from Friday, February 2 to Sunday, February 4, 2034.

Led by the Coordinator of ESSVN, Col. Kole Omomia, the reaccreditation exercise solely targets the trained vigilante operatives in the State. This strategic approach ensures that only qualified personnel are part of this robust security network.

According to the statement, “The Edo State Security Vigilante Network (ESVN) has commenced the reaccreditation and training of 6,500 ESVN operatives accross the state in accordance with Governor Godwin Obaseki’s direction.

“The following will be the focus of the profiling that started today, Friday, February 2, 2024: “Friday: 8 – 11 a.m. in Oredo; 12 – 2 p.m. in Ikpoba–Okha; and 3 – 5 p.m. in Egor.”

Omomia stated that the exercise will be held in Ovia South East from 1 – 3 p.m. and Ovia North East from 9 – 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024.

The reaccreditation process will conclude on Sunday, February 4, 2024, with profiling in Uhunmwonde from 9 11 a.m., and Orhiomnwon from 1 – 3 p.m.
