Edo State is poised to revolutionize its administrative operations by transitioning to a digital framework, slated for completion by September 1, 2023.

This pioneering move will see the state’s workforce, spanning various ministries and agencies, undergo extensive training in e-governance, with key departments like the Secretary to the State Government’s office already leading the way.

The state’s Head of Service, Mr. Anthony Okungbowa, has called for the collective effort and unity of all employees to navigate this shift successfully. He stated, “We want to ensure that we are all running this race together, embracing this change at our own pace, to fully reap the benefits in the end.”

Training sessions have shed light on the numerous benefits of the e-governance system. Mr. Okungbowa elaborated, “With e-gov, you can handle your tasks from your desk. With a simple click, you can send and receive messages. Moreover, the expense module is a unique feature that tracks the budget of the MDAs, providing real-time updates on available funds.”
