The Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed two of its prominent members, Genesis Kelly Prince Udebhulu (popularly known as Prince Kelly Udebhulu) and Mr. Frank Okoyo, to key positions in its Diaspora Campaign Subcommittee for the 2026/2027 electoral cycle.
Udebhulu was appointed Secretary of the Diaspora Campaign Subcommittee, while Okoyo will serve as its Director. The appointments were contained in a statement dated September 21, 2026, and signed by the Edo APC Publicity Secretary, Peter Uwadiae-Igbinigie, Esq.
The appointments form part of the party’s newly constituted 2026/2027 Presidential, National Assembly and State House of Assembly Campaign Council. The campaign structure is chaired by Governor Monday Okpebholo as Chairman of the Campaign Advisory Council, with Senator Adams Oshiomhole and Chief Jarrett Tenebe as Co-Chairmen. Senator Matthew Urhoghide serves as Director-General.
Other specialised committees in the campaign council cover administration, operations and logistics, finance, publicity and media, mobilisation, youths and students, women, traders, legal affairs, ICT and research, among other areas.
Udebhulu, an APC chieftain from Ward 8, Esan West Local Government Area, brings experience in political communication, media and diaspora engagement to his new role. He previously served as Director of Media, Communication and National Orientation in the Edo APC 2024 Governorship Campaign Council, where he was actively involved in the party’s communication and media activities during the election.
His involvement in diaspora affairs also includes coordinating Edo Central liaison activities on a volunteer basis under the Edo State Diaspora Agency. His contribution to the party’s 2024 governorship campaign was later recognised with a Certificate of Recognition by the APC Edo Diaspora Chapter.
Okoyo equally has solid experience in diaspora mobilisation and party organisation. He served as Director of Diaspora Affairs in the 2024 Edo APC Governorship Campaign Council and currently serves as Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor on Diaspora Affairs.
The APC stated that the newly constituted campaign structures were designed to harness the experience, organisational capacity and grassroots reach of party leaders, stakeholders and supporters across the state in coordinating campaign activities.
