Abudu Diaspora Group installs streetlights in Edo community

The Abudu Diaspora Group (ADG) which had earlier set up approximately 250 solar streetlights throughout Abudu in January stated it intends to reach out to areas which are yet to enjoy the group’s mission.

ADG stated it’d begin the second phase installations of solar streetlights at Abudu, administrative headquarters of Orhionmwon local government area of Edo state soon.

The director of the group, Eghosa-Kings Igbinoghodua in his speech stated, “we need to make certain it (solar streetlights) is goes all out to our people. Also, there are a number of the installations completed on timber poles; we plan to alternate them with concrete poles.”

He added that Abudu diaspora group and the Abudu GRA project group were formed for the overall development of Abudu having realized the need to give back to the community where members were born and raised.

It is expected that the Abudu diasporans come together under one umbrella to forge a common front, as the various projects embarked on would be for the development of Abudu, and by extension
