Startling reports have emerged concerning a kidnapping incident involving one Mr. Favour Ologun from Ososo in Akoko Edo, along with two other individuals. According to reliable sources, they were abducted while en route to Okene in Kogi State. Additionally, it has been reported that a lady who was inside the vehicle during the abduction sustained severe injuries and has been rushed to the hospital for treatment.
In a distressing turn of events, it has been revealed that the kidnappers have demanded a whopping ransom of N200 million for the safe release of the victims. The gravity of the situation and the exorbitant ransom amount have sent shockwaves through the community.
The abduction of Mr. Ologun and his companions, coupled with the injury sustained by the lady in the vehicle, has magnified concerns over the increasing incidents of kidnappings in Akoko Edo Local Government area.
It would be recall that earlier this week, the lawmaker representing Akoko Edo constituency II, Hon Donald Okogbe moved a motion with his colleagues calling for urgent action against the Kidnappers that are constantly terrorizing the local government and narrated that about 15 persons have so far been kidnapped in different parts of the local government with one killed while five others are still missing to date.
