Newly installed Iyin-Jamata of Uneme-Ekpedo, Chief Priscilla Ikogheneone Usiobaifo, has expressed profound appreciation to the Onose of Uneme-Ekpedo, His Royal Highness Oba John Afolabi Obabori, and the Uneme community, for conferring on her the revered traditional title of Iyin-Jamata of Uneme-Ekpedo.
In a message of appreciation released following the conferment of the title, Chief Usiobaifo described the honour as one of the highest recognitions of her lifelong commitment to humanity, women empowerment, child protection, and community development.
She thanked His Royal Highness, Oba John Afolabi Obabori, for finding her worthy of the prestigious title, noting that the confidence reposed in her would serve as a greater motivation to continue serving society with dedication and integrity.
Chief Usiobaifo also extended heartfelt appreciation to royal fathers across Akoko-Edo, government officials, members of the BHI Board of Trustees, the BHI Supporters Group, sons and daughters of the Uneme tribe, friends, associates, and well wishers who identified with her during the celebration.
According to her, the title of Iyin-Jamata, which translates to “Mother of Elite Women,” carries significant responsibility and symbolises a commitment to nurturing women of character, courage, excellence, and positive influence.
The newly installed chief concluded by reaffirming her unwavering commitment to using her new traditional office as a platform to inspire positive social change and contribute meaningfully to the advancement of Edo State and Nigeria as a whole.
