The Executive Chairman of Akoko-Edo Local Government Area, Hon. Barr Tajudeen Alade Suleman, has called on indigenes of the area to put aside their political differences to build a more vibrant socio-economic cohesion birthed on love and oneness.
In a New Year message to the people, Barr Suleman said “We don’t have another Akoko-Edo that is our own and as we navigate into a New Year, it is our resolve as a responsive government, to continue to mitigate the plight of our people through life touching projects for the attainment of a more prosperous local government area”. He expressed prayers for prosperity, calling on God to continue blessing the endeavors of the people.
Reflecting on the progress achieved so far, he reaffirmed the government’s dedication to enhancing safety, democracy, and transparency. He called on citizens to rally behind the policies and programs of Edo State Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo, whose leadership, he noted, has been instrumental in fostering development across the state.
“Politics have come and gone; we must now look inwards and offer the necessary support for the policies and programmes of His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, in moving the state to the next level of development and to foster continuity in our projects across the locality for the betterment of all,” he urged.
The Chairman concluded his message with a call for unity and renewed determination to ensure Akoko-Edo’s growth and prosperity in 2025.
“Happy New Year to all,” he said, expressing optimism for a brighter future for the local government area.
