Edo State Deputy Governor Vows Support for Polytechnic Education

In a recent meeting with the management team of Edo State Polytechnic, Usen, Deputy Governor Hon. Dennis Idahosa reaffirmed the government’s commitment to resolving the challenges facing the institution. The visit, which took place on Thursday, was an opportunity for the Deputy Governor to engage with the Polytechnic’s leadership and address their concerns.

During the discussions, Hon. Idahosa emphasized the administration’s dedication to enhancing educational opportunities in the state. He noted that Governor Sen. Monday Okpebholo prioritizes quality education as part of his comprehensive five-point agenda aimed at fostering development within Edo State.

The Deputy Governor pledged to visit the Polytechnic, alongside the Commissioner for Education, once the new cabinet is established. “We recognize the importance of providing robust support to our educational institutions, and I encourage you to persist in your efforts toward delivering high-quality education to your students,” he stated.

Engr. Sylvester Omoruyi, the Rector of Edo State Polytechnic, took the opportunity to extend his congratulations to Hon. Idahosa on his recent election. He also shared a report highlighting the institution’s achievements and the hurdles it faces. The visit culminated in a symbolic gesture, with the Rector presenting a congratulatory plaque to the Deputy Governor, signifying a strong cooperative spirit between the government and educational institutions in the state.
